Georgica Workforce Opportunity Committee to Host Unique 2-Day Innovative Job Fair for Construction and Development Opportunities

On Wednesday and Thursday, the Georgica Workforce Opportunity Committee will be hosting a unique and innovative 2-Day Job Fair to help interested Long Islanders looking to enter the property construction and management field. The event—held in partnership with the Suffolk County Department of Labor and New York State—will be held at St. Joseph’s University in O’Connor Hall on Wednesday May 29 and Thursday May 30 from 6-8pm. This event follows the recent groundbreaking ceremony for our project, The Grove Apartments in East Patchogue. The Grove Apartments is a mixed-use, affordable, and supportive housing development that will consist of 55 apartments including 17 apartments for residents in need of support services

Residents can learn more and register for the event at www.ggvllc.com/jobfair

The event differs from a typical job fair by adding a day dedicated to helping interested applicants hone their job skills to improve their interaction with interested employers.
