Man Struck By SUV, Seriously Injured In Brentwood

The 45-year-old man was struck while walking in Brentwood Thursday night.

BRENTWOOD, NY — A man was seriously injured after being hit by a driver in Brentwood on Thursday night, according to Suffolk police.

A 38-year-old Bay Shore woman was driving a 2011 Honda Pilot SUV south on Fifth Avenue near the intersection of Third Avenue at 9 p.m. when she struck the 45-year-old man, who was walking east on Fifth Avenue at 9 p.m.

The man was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the car was not injured. Police said the man is homeless.
