JetBlue's Islip To Florida Flights: Everything You Need To Know

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — JetBlue will be offering air service from Long Island MacArthur Airport to three popular destinations in Florida, Patch recently reported.

Beginning in October, JetBlue will operate daily flights between Islip and Orlando, and flights between Islip and Fort Lauderdale and Islip and Palm Beach, both four times a week, the airline announced Tuesday.

The flights from Islip to Orlando and West Palm Beach will begin on October 24, while the flights to Fort Lauderdale are set to begin on October 25, according to JetBlue.

JetBlue shared the following flight details with Patch.

A roundtrip between Islip and Orlando includes flight #547, departing MacArthur daily at 11:15 a.m. and arriving in Orlando at 2:15 p.m. Flight #546 returns to MacArthur daily at 7:30 a.m., arriving in Islip at 10:30 a.m.

JetBlue flights between MacArthur and West Palm Beach will fly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flight #545 is set to depart from Islip at 2:40 p.m. and arrive in West Palm Beach at 5:40 p.m. The returning flight departs Florida at 10:55 a.m. and arrives at 1:55 p.m., JetBlue told Patch.

Those looking forward to visiting Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood can expect to fly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Flights out of Islip are set to depart at 12:20 p.m. and arrive in Florida at 3:20 p.m.

All routes will be flown on JetBlue’s Airbus A320 aircraft which has 150 seats across 25 rows, according to JetBlue. Seven rows offer Even More Space seats, which provide travelers with extra legroom.

The flights offer free high-speed wi-fi, seatback TVs, 36 channels of free DIRECTV and over 100 channels of SiriusXM.

To celebrate Wednesday's launch, the airline is offering $49 one-way fares for flights between Islip and the Florida destinations through June 13. The offer is for travel between October 24 and December 17, 2024. Blackout dates are from November 26 and December 2, 2024. To use the offers, tickets must be purchased 21 days prior to travel and can't be used for travel on Friday or Sunday.
