LI Students Get Fancy At Suffolk PD's Annual Prom Event

"We had a great time watching the teens walk the runway in their dresses and suits." - Suffolk PD.

BRENTWOOD, NY — Audrey Hepburn once said, "Life is a party. Dress for it."

Thanks to the annual Suffolk County Police Department Prom Impact event, hundreds of Long Island students are embracing the motto and will be decked out in gowns and tuxes on prom night.

On Saturday, high school students from across the island headed to the Police Academy in Brentwood to pick out a gown or suit to wear on the big night. In addition to evening wear, students were treated to makeup, shoes and accessories "to make their prom an unforgettable experience," according to the police department.
