300+ Backpacks Stuffed With School Supplies Up For Grabs Saturday
Suffolk police and Pickleball Express will give away 300 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to students on Saturday, August 31.
ISLIP, NY — Hundreds of new backpacks stuffed will school supplies will be given away at a school supply giveaway in Islip on Saturday, August 31, days before the new school year kicks off.
The school supply giveaway is hosted by the Suffolk County Police Department, Islip's Pickleball Express and Hummus Fit.
In addition to free school supplies, the family-friendly event will feature bounce houses, food, games, haircut and manicure vouchers and police and firetruck displays.

More than 300 backpacks will be filled with school supplies will be available. The backpacks will be separated into two age groups, kindergarten through fifth grade and sixth grade and up.
Items will be available until supplies last.

The event will take place at Pickleball Express at 181 Freeman Avenue on Saturday, August 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
