Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on March 2, 2022. Last updated March 1, 2022

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

· 1,209,691 people have received at least one vaccine dose an increase of 496.

· 1,094,823 people are fully vaccinated, an increase of 525.

· 74.7% percent of the total population is fully vaccinated.

· 78.9% of the population ages 5 and older is fully vaccinated.

· 95.0% of the population ages 18 and older has received at least one dose.

· 85.8% of the population ages 18 and older is fully vaccinated.

· 48.1% of the population ages 18 and older have had a booster dose.

· Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering COVID vaccines to Suffolk County residents who are eligible. Appointments are recommended. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms. · If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

· 7,106,730 total tests have been administered since March 2020.

· 104 new cases were reported.

· 7.0 cases per 100k; 6.8 on a 7-day average.

· 422,746 total cases have been reported since March 2020.

· 1.4% tested positive in Suffolk County; 1.6% positive on a 7-day average.

· 1.5 % tested positive on Long Island; 1.7% positive on a 7-day average.

Fatalities, Suffolk County, March 1, 2022

· 1 fatality

· 4,341 fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, March 1, 2022

· 113 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 2 in 24 hours.

· 15 were new admissions.

· 19 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 3 in 24 hours.

· 14 patients were in the ICU and intubated.

· 11 were discharged since the last report.

· 23,307 have been discharged since March 22, 2020.

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

· 2,815 staffed hospital beds, 857 available, 30%

· 366 ICU beds, 113 available, 31%
