CENTRAL ISLIP, NY —The first pitch at the Long Island Ducksgame this Friday will be thrown by a Long Islander with some experience on the baseball field. Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon Jr, worked as a batboy for the New York Yankees before his law enforcement career.

Sheriff Toulon will throw the first ball at the Ducks 6:35 p.m. game against York Revolution.

When the sheriff worked for the Yankees, big names like Thurman Munson, Reggie Jackson and Bobby Murcer were playing for the team.
