11 Injured In Brooklyn Apartment Fire: FDNY

BROOKLYN, NY — Eleven people were injured, including 1 seriously — in an apartment fire in Brooklyn overnight Tuesday, FDNY officials said.

The fire happened at 127 Evergreen Avenue around 3 a.m., the FDNY said.

The fire appeared to have started on the first floor of the four-story building, FDNY officials said.

The injured included children.

12 units and about 60 firefighters responded to the incident.

The fire was put under control at 3:38 a.m., the FDNY said.

The FDNY fire marshal will determine the cause of the blaze.

According to multiple media reports, a tenant of the building may have intentional set the fire.
