BROOKLYN, NY — Two Brooklyn eateries earned nods in Michelin's New York Guide this month, securing their top spots on the city's dining scene.

Kingfisher, currently on a "hiatus," and Agi's Counter were two of 10 New York City eateries added to the guide in October — joining some 449 New York state eateries noted by the trusted food reviewers.

Since opening in 2021, Agi's counter has picked up a number of accolades for its brunch menu and Hungarian crepes. It's chef Jeremy Salamon's first full restaurant after a Hungarian pop-up dinner series and years as Executive Chef at The Eddy and Wallflower.

"You have room for one more dish, right? It’s a question that will come up often at this sweet little diner in Crown Heights," Michelin reviewers wrote of the eatery on Franklin Avenue.

Kingfisher, sat on Rogers Avenue between Midwood Street and Rutland Road, is curated by Dutch Chef Nico Bouter offering "sustainable seafood and hyper local fare," according to the restaurant's website.

"One bite of the hamachi with Asian pear and house-made XO sauce and it's clear why this is one of the most ordered openers," Michelin reviewers wrote.

Kingfisher has earned accolades as the city's best shrimp cocktail and one of the borough's hottest new spots.

Other eateries to make the book include Fasano in Midtown East, Little Myanmar in the East Village and Torrisi in SoHo.
