8 Affordable Housing Lotteries Open For Brooklyn: Here's What To Know

The 8 housing lotteries are open throughout July and August.

BROOKLYN, NY — There are currently eight open affordable housing lotteries in Brooklyn, New York City residents can apply for, according to NYC Housing Connect.

Here's all the information you need to know about each project:

Williamsburg Apex - Lottery ends July 12

Located at the intersection of 255 Lorimer and 28 Boerum Street, ask renters to make 130 percent of the area median income, or at least $106,458.00.

Applicants for the one-bedroom apartments — will have to make at least $113,726.00. Applicants for two-bedroom apartments will have to make $135,875.00.

The apartments feature a package room, virtual doorman, covered parking, rooftop terrace, gym and other amenities.

952 Bedford Avenue Apartments - Lottery ends July 16

Located in the Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy neighborhoods, the project features 1 & 2-bedroom apartments.

Renters will be asked to make 80 percent of the area median income, or $70,903 and $82,835 respectively for a portion of 1 and 2-bedroom apartments.

The other portion requires renters to make 130 percent of the area median income, or at least $111,532 and $131,486.

The apartment building is located near local stores, Pratt Institute, and the G, A, and C subway lines.

1510 Broadway Apartments - Lottery ends July 18

Located in the Bed-Stuy, the project will consist of 108 units with a mix of studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units.

Residents of 1510 Broadway will enjoy free internet, bike storage, package room, a large beautiful landscaped outdoor area, a 1,400 square foot indoor recreation space, among other features.

Renters will be asked to make 30 percent of the area median income, or at least $24,480.00 for a 1-bedroom apartment and $33,875 for a 3-bedroom apartment.

The J, M and Z trains are located in the immediate area and the Brooklyn Bus #38, 46, 47 and 54 routes are all within walking distance within a few blocks.

1100 Myrtle Avenue Apartments - Lottery ends July 23

Renters will be asked to make 80 percent of the area median income, or at least $61,338 for a 1-bedroom apartment and $74,058 for a 2-bedroom apartment.

Amenities include a fitness center, roof deck with lounging zones, BBQs and dining areas, $200, dog run, media lounge, game room, party room with full kitchen and bike storage.

828 Metropolitan Avenue Apartments - Lottery ends Aug. 9

Renters will be asked to make 40 percent of the area median income for a portion of 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, or at least $35,829 and $42,720.

The other portion requires renters to make 60 percent of the area median income, or at least $54,000 and $64,492.

1020 Rogers Avenue Apartments - Lottery ends Aug. 12

The building is offering 23 newly constructed 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units.

Renters will be asked to make 130 percent of the area median income, or at least $94,286 and $108,343.

Renters will be asked to make 30 percent of the area median income, or at least $26,949 for a 1-bedroom apartment and $37,372 for a 3-bedroom apartment.
