Bodies Of Man, Woman Found In Brooklyn Apartment: NYPD

The badly decomposed bodies were discovered Wednesday in an apartment on Ditmas Avenue, police told the New York Daily News.

BROOKLYN, NY — Two badly decomposed bodies were discovered by police inside a Brooklyn apartment Wednesday, according to authorities and a report.

An NYPD spokesperson confirmed police received a 911 call for a wellness check just before 10:20 a.m. at 640 Ditmas Ave. in Kensington. When police arrived, they found a man and woman "unconscious and unresponsive," police said.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a New York Daily News report, police said the bodies were badly decomposed and were unable to see any signs of trauma.

Police did not release the names of the victims. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner was conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
