WILLIAMSBURG, NY — Williamsburg Italian joint Fabbrica closed last week "after a glorious 10-year run" and unexpected lease troubles, owners announced on social media.

The eatery announced last week it had unexpectedly lost its lease on Kent Avenue near N 6th Street, and would be forced to close its doors on Dec. 3.

All the restaurant's furniture, including kitchen equipment, went on sale on Craigslist and in person, the owners announced.

"We want to thank our amazing, dedicated, loyal staff members and all the customers who supported our small business during all these years, also throughout difficult, unprecedented times," Fabbrica owners wrote in an Instagram post.

Many patrons took to social media to say they will miss the neighborhood "staple."

"This is so sad! My second home and staple of our neighborhood!!! Too many memories to count!! To miss you is an understatement," one person said on Instagram.

The restaurant paid homage to the neighborhood's history while serving up seafood and Italian dishes like a burrata scallop ravioli, clam linguini in a rose wine sauce and lemon, nutmeg and pistachio pasta.

"The name FABBRICA — Italian for "factory" — is an homage to the extraordinary history of the neighborhood, once characterized by active manufacturing," restaurant representatives wrote on its website. "Fabbrica welcomes those who want to explore, share, and celebrate contemporary Italian cuisine."

The restaurant was also home to frequent live music, holiday events and production filming, according to its website.

Fabbrica's owners shared locals' sorrow in Sunday's closing.

"It was a joy and a privilege to be part of this vibrant community. We will cherish forever all the beautiful memories we contributed to create."
