WILLIAMSBURG, NY — A Williamsburg Israeli spot known for its gorgeous view and skewers roasted over a charcoal grill snagged a spot on Yelp's ranking of the best new restaurants in 2023.

Laser Wolf, sat on The Hoxton's roof on Wythe Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets, was one of only two New York City restaurants to land in the top 25.

The Israeli spot is a famously hard Brooklyn reservation to grab, but once seated, diners enjoy a pre-fixe menu that starts with a tasting platter of hummus, babaganoush, Israeli pickles, Moroccan carrots and more vegetable dishes.

Next come meat, fish or vegetable skewers, roasted right in front of diners over a charcoal grill.

A brown sugar soft-serve ice cream rounds out the meal with rotating toppings — as of press time, burnt grape molasses and peanut butter Bamba topped the sweet finish.

The Yelp ranking was generated with the help of community ratings and reviews — and the list included tons of James Beard and Michelin-recognized spots.

A New York City chef also earned a not for his Washington D.C. menu at Rania — the chef formerly helmed Indian Accent on West 56th Street.
