BROWNSVILLE, NY — A cyclist was hit by a for-hire car in Brownsville Monday morning, police said.

A 40-year-old cyclist was hospitalized in stable condition Monday morning about after he was hit by a for-hire car about 10:05 a.m. near Livonia Avenue and Thomas Boyland Street, according to the NYPD and FDNY.

The cyclist had leg pain after the crash, police said.

There was no criminality suspected and no arrests made Monday, police said.

Nearby, a young moped driver was fatally struck by a trailer in Sunset Park over the weekend. Last week, a 66-year-old pedestrian died after a truck slammed into her and a 2-year-old, police said.
