Flatlands Stabbing Victim Remembered As A 'Family Man': Report

FLATLANDS, NY — The fatal stabbing of 45-year-old Nathaniel Thomas III last week has rattled neighbors in Flatlands, who remember the victim as a kind person, ABC7 New York reported.

Thomas was stabbed to death near his home on Avenue K on August 7, police said.

"He was a family man, he was a church man. He would do anything to help anybody. He would give you the shirt off his back," Peter Jones, Thomas's friend, told ABC7.

Shakel Moldonado, who was Thomas's neighbor, is charged with the murder and has been held without bail, according to ABC7.
