BERGEN BEACH, NY — A motorcyclist died after he was flung from his bike Thursday in Bergen Beach, police said.

The 53-year-old was riding on Avenue W near East 69th Street about 8:55 p.m. Thursday when he had trouble on the road, according to the NYPD.

Police say he "failed to properly navigate the roadway" and was ejected from the bike — and found on the road unconscious.

First responders pronounced the man dead on the scene but did not release his name.
