BROOKLYN, NY — A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged for attacking an MTA bus driver in Brooklyn last month, police said.

Malachi Houston, 27, has been charged with attempted murder, police said.

On June 8, at 11:30 a.m., Houston got into an argument with a 60-year-old MTA bus driver while aboard a B99 bus on Pitkin Avenue near Alabama Avenue, police said.

Houston then stabbed the driver in the neck with an unknown sharp object, police said.

He then exited the bus and fled on foot west on Pitkin Avenue, police said.

EMS transported the 60-year-old victim to Brookdale University and Medical Center, where he is in stable condition, police said.
