Address: 159 Mott St.

A cereal bar and ice cream shop hybrid emerged in Little Italy this spring, making it the third one of its kind to open in the city. The other two are in Times Square and Prospect Heights, the latter of which has a sneaker-inspired theme in collaboration with fashion and footwear retailer KITH NYC. The classic breakfast staples are accounted for — Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Captain Crunch, Froot Loops — and customers can choose from an ice cream or cereal bowl starter before selecting their share of toppings, from cookie dough to Reese’s Pieces to toasted coconut flakes.

Neighborhood: Greenpoint

Address: 1 Bedford Ave.

One Bedford emerged in April as a cocktail spot, restaurant and coffee bar in one, serving breakfast and lunch all day with dishes such as shrimp and octopus flatbread pizza, Amazon cod piperade, zucchini carpaccio, half-moon pierogis and rustic chicken — and those are just the favorites. The full menu can be found here.

The Fat Monk

Neighborhood: Upper West Side

Address: 949 Columbus Ave.

At The Fat Monk, an UWS gastropub that opened back in March, Chef Rob McCue transforms classics into modern dishes with part molecular gastronomy and part kitchen alchemy, according to the restaurant's website. Try some of the signature dishes, such as the glass crackled pork knuckles or the foie gras bratwurst or the My Lisa Frank Notebook cocktail — made with pink unicorn dust.

Otway

Neighborhood: Clinton Hill

Address: 930 Fulton St.

The Otway menu offers light dishes with rich eats, such as the pea croquettes with lard and sweetbreads with parsley or the bone-in veal with carrots. The new Clinton Hill restaurant from Samantha Safer and chef Claire Welle — two partners in the space’s previous occupant Tilda All Day — opened in February and maintains an all female kitchen. The team also bakes its own breads and pastries in house.

Tacoway Beach

Neighborhood: Far Rockaway

Address: 302 Beach 87th St.

Tacoway Beach’s home is at Rockaway Beach Surf Club, a cultural event space, restaurant and bar dedicated to promoting the love of surfing, conserving the environment and supporting its local neighborhood, according to the surf club’s Facebook page. The Tacoway Beach menu includes more than tacos, however. Beachgoers can feast on quesadillas, “surf n’eat” breakfast food and a selection of snacks. Drinks include iced coffee, fresh coconut and watermelon. The place opened just this month and will remain open throughout the summer season.
