BROOKLYN, NY — Police have released the name of a second suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old in Brooklyn that happened almost one month ago, police said.

Damon Gaitor, 24, is being sought in connection with the shooting death of Deon Williams, who was shot in the torso on July 13 near 68 Marcus Garvey Boulevard in Bedford-Stuyvesant, according to police.

Two weeks ago, police arrested Gaitor’s alleged accomplice, Aaron Granton, 28, who has been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police believe Gaitor and Granton were both involved in the shooting that resulted in Williams' death. Williams was discovered unresponsive and taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said.

The NYPD is now seeking the public's assistance in locating Gaitor, who is described as having a heavy build and wearing his hair in braids.
