Man Tries, And Fails, To Snatch Purse From Woman In Bushwick

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A man tried and failed to snatch a woman's purse as she was walking down a Bushwick street this week.

It happened on Monday night, around 9:15 p.m., on Granite Street near Broadway, police said.

That's when a man walked up behind the 54-year-old woman and grabbed for her purse. She held on, though, even after he knocked her to the ground.

The man eventually ran away and hasn't been caught.
