BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A new civic and political organization has been started in Bushwick, and they will hold their first meeting later this month.

The Bushwick Political and Civic Club was started to raise the voices and concerns of residents who feel either disenfranchised or disengaged from politics and community affairs, leaders said.

"Created by a group of residents with diverse backgrounds and experiences, BPCC focuses on increasing the level of civic engagement and participation with the goal of transforming the status-quo of Bushwick electoral politics," member Julio Salazar said.
