QUEENS, NY — More than a fifth of Queens adults have now gotten at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to city data updated Friday.

Vaccination data shows that 21 percent of Queens adults received at least one shot, and 9 percent are classified as fully vaccinated — roughly on par with the citywide averages.

Queens ranks third in terms of the share of adults who have gotten vaccinated. In Manhattan, more than a quarter of adults already received at least one vaccine dose, the highest rate of any of the five boroughs.

Vaccination rates in Queens still appear to vary by race and ethnicity, according to the data, although the city warns that its demographic breakdowns are incomplete: Hundreds of thousands of adults who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine did not report their race ethnicity.

Of those vaccinated in Queens who did report that information, 18 percent are white, 21 percent are Asian, 10 percent are Latino and 9 percent are Black, the data shows.
