Pedestrian, 19, Fatally Struck In Garden City Area: Police
Authorities say a teenager was struck and killed by a car overnight.
GARDEN CITY, NY — A teenager was fatally struck by a car overnight in the Garden City area, authorities said.
It happened around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Stewart Avenue and South Street.
Nassau County police say a 19-year-old man was struck by a 2020 Honda Civic heading east on Stewart Avenue. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Honda, only identified by police as a 20-year-old man, remained at the scene.
An investigation is underway.
