CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday in the case of the U.S. vs. George Santos.

The disgraced former congressman is expected to go to next month. Jury selection is scheduled to start on Sept. 9, a spokesperson for the US Attorney's office said.

Santos was charged with a 23-count superseding indictment last October that include conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States, wire fraud, making materially false statements to the Federal Election Commission and aggravated identity theft, the Department of Justice said.
