HARLEM, NY — A teenager was shot in a Harlem park on Sunday night, a police spokesperson told Patch.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the back about 9 p.m. within Marcus Garvey Park, which stretches from 120th to 124th streets in Central Harlem, police said.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he is expected to survive, police said.
