HARLEM, NYC — A man is in custody after snatching a running car that had a 1-year-old girl inside it outside of a preschool in Harlem Tuesday morning, police officials said.

Police said the carjacking occurred around 9 a.m. in the area of West 134th Street.

The child's mother parked on the street and was walking around the red Honda Pilot when the suspect approached and hopped into the driver's seat, police said.
