HARLEM, NY — A blaze burned for nearly an hour inside an East Harlem apartment building early Wednesday morning, according to officials.

About 8:50 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a blaze on the 12th floor of a 15-story apartment building on East 102 St. between Park and Madison avenues, FDNY officials said.

Nearly 80 firefighters and first responders rushed to the scene to help battle the flames inside the building, officials said.

By about 9:32 a.m., the flames were quenched, according to FDNY officials.

No injuries were immediately reported and authorities said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
