The Fortune Society Hosts The Sixth Annual Victor Rojas Block Party
Victor Rojas, who the block party is named in memory of, was a beloved Fortune Society employee who died too soon.
The Fortune Society (Fortune) presents the Victor Rojas Annual Block Party for people of all ages at its Castle Gardens facility in Harlem on Friday, August 23, 2024. Community partners, elected officials, and neighbors and friends of The Fortune Society will come together for a day of music, games, food, beverages, a creative arts showcase, and school supply giveaways.
Victor Rojas, who the block party is named in memory of, was a beloved Fortune Society employee who died too soon. He first came to Fortune as a participant living in the Castle until being hired as a full-time Counselor on the Fortune Family Services team. Victor made strides while at Fortune moving into the permanent, affordable residence, Castle Gardens, and taking on additional responsibilities with the Housing department. He inspired participants and colleagues with his warmth and sense of humor.
