Harlem Bazaar Market Returning To 125th Street In May: What To Know

The popular open-air market will return this May for its second season at 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell.

HARLEM, NY — Harlem Bazaar, the popular open-air market on 125th Street, recently announced it will be returning to the neighborhood for its second season this May.

The market will reopen May 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard outside of the State Building.

"This event series brings the hottest merchandise and creative crafted items to the community. HARLEM BAZAAR, the largest arts & culture market in Uptown and The Bronx, allows artists, merchants, and vendors to showcase their skills," reads the Harlem Bazaar's website. "We wanted to bring together artists, merchants, creators, inventors, designers, and visionaries to one dope AF space - 125th st. in Harlem, USA to share all the goodness with our thriving Uptown community and anyone from the greater NY that wants to soak in the cool."

The market will happen on the follow dates every Sunday from May to October.

Organizers choose the local vendors based on "creativity, originality, and pizzazz."

In 2022, there were more than 100,000 patrons that visited the Harlem market that featured 70 percent female/POC/Immigrant/LGBTQIA- owned and operated businesses.

There is also a collection of live music, dance, and theater performances at every market.
