HARLEM, NY - Looking for unique stocking stuffers, local eats and groovy tunes under one roof, er, viaduct?

Look no further than the Harlem Night Market at La Marqueta, located at 116th Street and Park Avenue under the Park Avenue Viaduct.

Over 50 uptown-based vendors will set up shop on Dec. 2, 9 and 16 from 4 to 8 p.m., offering a “culturally diverse selection” of food and gifts from Harlem, El Barrio and the Bronx. Entertainment is set to include a 360-degree photo booth, dance floor and tunes spun by DJs Stormin’ Norman, Ted Smooth and Uptown Vinyl Supreme.

“Since its start as one of New York City’s public markets in the 1930s, La Marqueta has achieved a storied status as the heart of entrepreneurship for East Harlem and all of Uptown,” Carey King, director of East Harlem-based community nonprofit Uptown Grand Central, said in a statement. “For nearly a century now, these blocks under the rumbling Park Avenue train tracks have launched thousands of entrepreneurs with great products and great ideas. It’s our honor to be a part of showcasing that vibrancy for the holidays.”

Alongside the outdoor La Placita bazaar and entertainment space on 115th and 116th Streets, La Marqueta's indoor retail market will be open with an entrance at 115th Street, offering the likes of Cocotazo, Lizzy’s Treats, Amuse Bouche and Taller Carmen Ayala. The Grandscale Art Market, also at 115th Street, will offer up work from over 100 artists from this year’s Grandscale Mural Project.

A family-fun winter wonderland market will also be open at the Urban Garden Center at 111th and Park Avenue with a holiday craft market. Shoppers are encouraged to dress warm and come early for kids’ activities and a Santa meet-and-greet from 3 to 5 p.m. A craft workshop with free hot cocoa will be held each Saturday at 3 p.m.

A holiday trolley will be running on a loop from the Urban Garden Center at 111th Street to the northern end of the market at La Placita for easy transportation between the holiday bazaar's offerings.
