HARLEM, NY - A Harlem vegan restaurant is expanding the reach of its plant-based flavors to kitchens across New York.

VeganHood, a 100% plant-based restaurant and bar in Harlem, recently launched its VeganHood seasoning, sauce and tea product line, available for purchase in-store at 2100 Frederick Douglass Blvd.

Co-owners Janine Smalls-Gueye and Lanise Herman-Thomas, who aim to “veganize without compromise,” started VeganHood as a ghost kitchen during the pandemic serving up vegan Soul Food and authentic Caribbean bites. The sister entrepreneurs expanded to a full-service restaurant and bar in 2022.

VeganHood’s Taste Like “Seefood” Seasoning Blend, City Island Tartar Sauce, Total Tea and SourSop drink are available in-store. Total Tea is also available online.
