Harlem's Apollo Theater Announces Winter And Spring Show Schedule

The iconic theater on West 125th Street announced on Tuesday a plethora of upcoming shows and events. Check it out.

HARLEM, NY — Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater announced its winter and spring programming on Tuesday.

Titled "The Next Movement," the season of programming in the coming months at the 88-year-old theater at 253 W. 125th St. will feature music, film, education, comedy, and more.

"This year, we present a season of signature programs, audience favorites, and exciting new works from artists pushing the boundaries of their art forms," the Apollo wrote in an overview for the season.

Highlights for the upcoming season include Mase, Cam'Ron, and Jadakiss all sharing the Harlem venue together on Jan. 28.

There will also be a night of blues music with Russell Gunn on Feb. 18, and Afrobeats star Seun Kuti will take the stage on April 15.

The world-famous Apollo Amateur Night will return and take place every Wednesday starting on Feb. 22. The winner will take home a $20,000 grand prize. As always, the Apollo Comedy Club will also hold a once a month comedy nights.

Harlem residents, employees, business owners, and students can save 50 percent on tickets to select performances throughout the upcoming season. To get the discount, you can either bring proof of residence to the Apollo Theater box office at the venue or complete this online form.
