HARLEM, NY — A man was arrested Tuesday for a Harlem shooting last month that left a person wounded, according to police.

Kibwe Charles, a 47-year-old resident of Harlem, was arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting near a corner on 125th Street in early June.

It happened just before 10 a.m. at the corner of West 125th Street and Morningside Avenue, where Charles and the 56-year-old victim were engaged in an argument, according to an NYPD spokesperson.

During the altercation, Charles pulled out a gun and aimed it at the victim, firing and wounding him in the left ear.

The man was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital for his injuries while Charles fled, cops said.

Following a thorough police investigation, Charles was caught in the confines of the 26 precinct and formally charged on Tuesday.
