HARLEM, NY — After a four-year manhunt, police have finally arrested the man accused of shooting three people in Harlem in 2020, one of whom died, police said in an update Wednesday.

Cops had been searching for Darlin Martinez without luck since April 2020, but that changed this week, according to 30th Precinct Captain Jessica Rivera, who announced the news on social media.

"After 4 years of investigating and a subsequential manhunt, the person responsible was just arrested thanks to the great work of @NYPDDetectives," Rivera said.

Martinez was arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in front of 606 W. 135th St. on Jan. 23, 2020, police said.

Police found Christopher Allen, 27, unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds to his back when they arrived at the scene. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia but could not be saved and was later pronounced dead.
