HARLEM, NY — In the mood for a pint? Head on down to The Vale Public House, a new Scottish bar on Broadway hosting a grand opening celebration on Wednesday.

The official opening follows a summertime soft opening for the bar and restaurant, which is between West 141st and 142nd streets in Hamilton Heights.

On the menu: hearty pub grub like banger and chips, corn chowder and a deep-fried hamburger, plus vegetarian takes on Scottish classics like meat pie and haggis.

Its owners include a "Scottish expat" and a New Jersey native who met years ago at an Upper East Side bar, where they became friends and decided to open their own business, according to the Vale's website.

"The Vale is the safe space in the neighborhood where the customer’s comfort can be achieved at any level," a description reads.

In an interview with the Hamilton Heights Neighborhood group, one owner said he had aimed for a mixture of "cozy comfort food and delicious drunk food."

The drink menu, meanwhile, brings a focus on Scottish whisky and beers, like hard-to-find Tennent's Lager — a Glasgow brew sold at just one other New York City bar.

Wednesday's party was set to include an open bar from 7-9 p.m., plus free tastings from the Vale's menu.

The Vale is open daily, from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-2 a.m. on weekends. Learn more on its Instagram or website.
