HARLEM, NYC — An as-yet-unidentified woman is still on the loose after allegedly attempting to throw an object at a Harlem bus driver in April.

The woman, described by police as "disorderly," was near Seventh Avenue and West 143rd St. on April 9, at approximately 6:40 p.m., when she began arguing with a bus driver over whether or not the bus was in service.

It wasn't specified whether the bus was in motion during the verbal dispute, but tensions escalated when the woman tried to hurl an unidentified object at the 64-year-old bus driver.

An NYPD spokesperson said that in an effort to protect himself, the driver struck his knee on the bus dashboard. He suffered minor injuries and medics took him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.

The woman ran off the bus and fled the scene before police arrived, officials said.
