Here are the top three stories today in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO:

  1. Bike ridership on the Brooklyn Bridge rose by 26% last year, after the addition of a new protected bike lane. While most city bridges saw a pandemic-related increase in bike traffic from 2019 to 2020, Brooklyn Bridge had actually slightly decreased that year, given the previous difficulty to ride on it while navigating a narrow pedestrian walkway.   2. Brooklyn Heights resident Jenny Jackson, the author of the novel 'Pineapple Street' about inheriting a fortune, is reportedly selling her own Pineapple Street abode, and buying another nearby property for $4.2 million. (New York Post )
