Brooklyn Bridge Park Eateries Start Opening for Summer

Sticking it to the polar vortex.

DUMBO, BROOKLYN — At the risk of sounding like a total tourist, we must advise that the first of seven boarded-for-winter eateries and drinkeries built into the Brooklyn Bridge Park landscape re-opened for the warm season this gorgeous, 70-degree Thursday. (Never mind that the weekend forecast looks like a storyboard for Frozen.)

Luke's Lobster is now open, according to Brooklyn Bridge Park officials, and will remain open every Monday through Thursday from 11a.m. to 5p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Next up will be No. 7 Sub, which shares a small brick building with Luke's. The sandwich shop opens Monday, April 4, officials said.

Fornino, everyone's favorite overpriced pizza joint with a view, will open the following Saturday, April 9.

Then it's Lizzmonade Brooklyn's turn, over at Pier 1. The lemonade stand will open Friday, April 15. (Lizzmonade's famous Pop-Up Pool, however, won't make an appearance until the end of June.)

The next day — on Saturday, April 16 — ice-cream shop Ample Hills Creamery will begin scooping once more.

Lastly, and most unfortunately, park officials are yet undecided on the opening date for the Brooklyn Bridge Garden Bar, also at Pier 1. But we'll keep you posted, obvi.

This calls for a feast - our friends at Luke’s Lobster are reopening their BBP location today! See their hours, and more...
