Concerts Underneath Manhattan Bridge Returns To DUMBO Next Month

"Live at the Archway" will host free concerts underneath the bridge every Thursday throughout June and September, organizers said.

DUMBO, NY — A weekly series bringing free concerts underneath the Manhattan Bridge returns to Brooklyn next month, organizers announced.

The "Live at the Archway" series kicks off its fourth year of staging musical performances underneath the bridge on June 14 and plans to host concerts every week until September.

"We are so thrilled to bring a fourth season of adventurous, genre-defying and exciting programming from Brooklyn and beyond to the iconic setting of the Archway in the heart of DUMBO this summer," said Alexandria Sica, executive director of the DUMBO Business Improvement District, in a statement.

The concert series starts with a performance by the group Ljova and the Kontraband and continues every Thursday night until September 20, organizers said.

Aside from the music, the event will also include a pop-up gallery for the second year which shows off work from a different local artist each week and invites attendees to help create a new piece at the show.

"Live at the Archway" also scheduled bands with members from countries competing in this year's World Cup on days they play like Argentinian singer Natalia Calvier on June 21, organizers said.

Other performers during the fifteen-week series include Grupo Rebolu, the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn, JSWISS, Gangstagrass and more.

The concerts start at 6 p.m. each week and ends on Sept. 20 with a performance by Chiquita Brujita, organizers said.
