Cross The Brooklyn Bridge With Bill Murray

Bill Murray of "Ghostbusters" stardom will join the Poets House for their annual walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. For $250, you can too.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Imagine yourself walking across the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset. Bill Murray is at your side and someone whispers a poem about the city you both love in your ear. This soothing moment doesn’t have to remain an unattainable dream — it could be your reality.

You’re just going to need to shell out $250.

This blissful moment comes courtesy of the Poets House, which is hosting its 30th pilgrimage across the Brooklyn Bridge on June 12.

Murray — as well as paying guests and poets Billy Collins, Sharon Olds, Gregory Pardlo and Claudia Rankine — will journey from Manhattan and across the Brooklyn Bridge to wind up at a Poet House-sponsored dinner, organizers said.

During the walk, the poets will read their favorite New York City-inspired verse. Murray probably won’t be quoting lines from "Tootsie," even though that film is sheer screenwriting poetry.

Tickets are up for grabs on the Poets House website and will fund future Poets House events, which may be why it will cost $10,000 to sit with the guest poets at dinner.
