Downtown Brooklyn's Ganso Ramen Closing At The End Of The Month

The 25 Bond St. Ramen joint plans to close its door after more than five years in the neighborhood at the end of the month, owners said.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — A Bond Street ramen restaurant plans to close its doors at the end of the month after more than five years in the neighborhood.

Ganso Ramen will shutter its highly rated 25 Bond St. restaurant this month, owners announced on Facebook. The storefront will still be kept by Ganso's owner, Harris Salat, who plans to open a new, non-Japanese eatery in the space, Eater New York reported.

"We'd like to thank all our friends who have supported us for over five years," the restaurant wrote on Facebook. "We're proud to have served you. We'll miss you."

Ganso Ramen first opened its Bond Street shop in 2012 selling Tokyo-style Ramen, according to their website. They were awarded the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand prize four years in a row, which is given to eateries two people can get two courses and a glass of wine for less than $40.

Salat later opened sister restaurants Sushi Ganso and Ganso Yaki in Boerum Hill, but shuttered those shops abruptly in 2016, DNAinfo reported.
