  1. Holy Week began in Brooklyn this weekend, with a Palm Sunday procession starting at Grand Army Plaza. The holiday is meant to symbolize Christ's entry to Jerusalem. (CBS New York)
  2. Brooklyn's indie bookstores have organized a borough-wide "book crawl" for April 30, when you'll be able to get special deals, play games, and end up at an epic afterparty. Participating stores in Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO include Powerhouse and Adanne Bookshop. (Brooklyn Reader)
  3. 86 anti-semitic hate crimes have been reported in New York City in the first three months of 2022, putting the city on course to break 2019's high count of 242.
