North Hempstead to Host Veterans Donation Drive

There are two places to donate item in New Hyde Park.

The Town of North Hempstead is holding its first veterans donation drive, which government officials say will become annual event.

Residents will have the opportunity to donate personal care items, clothing and more at several locations throughout the town. Items will be gathered through Dec. 12 and will be delivered to the Northport VA Medical Center.

“After we put together our Veterans Advisory Committee, we looked for more ways to get our community involved in giving back to those who have served our country. The Veterans donation drive makes it easy for residents to contribute to this wonderful cause,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth.
