LONG BEACH, NY — The Adult League Beach Volleyball is returning to the sand.

The league had been suspended indefinitely last week because of "repeated warnings" to players as they were "uncooperative in keeping the emergency lane clear on Ocean Beach Park," the City of Long Beach posted on its Facebook page.

But, just as the long holiday weekend was starting, the city said its Department of Parks and Recreation and the Beach Patrol met with league operators to "assure the safety of beachgoers when play resumes."
