Annual Bike Ride Across Long Beach Takes Place Saturday

The 11-mile course is open for people of all ages.

LONG BEACH, NY — For the 21st straight year, Long Beach hosts the C.U.R.B. Bike Ride this weekend.

With a course of approximately 11 miles along Long Beach, it kicks off at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.

It starts at the Recreation Center parking lot and heads through the West End, the canals, Bay Drive and the boardwalk.

The ride is still scheduled as remnants of Tropical Storm Debby are expected to spread across the area. A final decision will be made on Friday. Organizers said they are monitoring the weather closely.

Registration is $35 for participants 13 and older; and $25 for 12 and under.
