LONG BEACH, NY — With Thanksgiving upon us, we can set our sights toward Christmas.

Long Beach's Christmas tree was delivered to Kennedy Plaza for the annual lighting ceremony.

The celebration is set for Friday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. in front of City Hall.

The Long Beach High School Jazz Ensemble will entertain will holiday favorites, the city posted on its website.

A resident will be chosen to light the tree from the "Nominate Someone Great" contest.
