LONG BEACH, NY — Don Clavin had a successful Election Night. The incumbent won his re-election as Town of Hempstead Supervisor, according to unofficial results from the Nassau Board of Elections.

Clavin, first elected to the position in 2019, beat Uniondale's Olena Nicks in a landslide, 65 percent to 35 percent, with all 100 precincts in.

"I am blessed with the opportunity to serve the residents of the Town of Hempstead for another term as Town Supervisor. I am thankful for the confidence voters have placed in me, and I will continue to work to provide tax relief to homeowners," Clavin said on social media. "At the same time, I will protect the suburban character of our communities and will work with the police for safe neighborhoods."
