Free Holiday Workshops For Children In Long Beach

Among the activities, children can learn how to make edible snowmen and decorate holiday cards.

LONG BEACH, NY — T'is the season for some holiday fun. Throughout December, the City of Long Beach is offering free arts and crafts seasonal workshops for children.

The activities are for kids in pre-k through sixth grade.

Each of the five workshops will take place at the Magnolia Center from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

On Dec. 9, youngsters will learn how to make marshmallow snowmen. The Dec. 12 workshop will feature the creation of holiday crafts, such as a dreidel and paper lights.

More winter fun awaits on Dec. 16, when the children will be shown the process of making homemade snow globes. The final workshop is on Dec. 19, by designing 3D holiday cards.
