Free Movies At Nickerson Beach Start July 23

Bring a towel or some chairs and enjoy a family friendly movie on the sand.

Free summer Movie Nights are coming back to Nickerson Beach Park this year, and they start on July 23.

County Executive Edward Mangano announced the schedule, which runs from July through the end of August. Movies will alternate showings between the West and East terraces of Nickerson Beach. All of the films begin at dusk. All of the films are rated PG.

West Terrace

  • July 23: "Toy Story" (approx. 8:30 p.m.)
  • Aug. 6: "Hotel Transylvania" (approx. 8:15 p.m.)
  • Aug. 20: "Megamind" (approx. 7:55 p.m.)

East Terrace

  • July 28: "Toy Story 3" (approx. 8:25 p.m.)
  • Aug. 11: "Hotel Transylvania 2" (approx. 8:05 p.m.)
  • Aug. 25: "Peanuts Movie" (approx. 7:45 p.m.)

Nickerson Beach Park is located at 880 Lido Boulevard, Lido Beach. There is no formal seating at Nickerson Beach Park, so movie-goers are urged to bring folding chairs or blankets. If weather conditions are doubtful, please call (516) 572-0355.
