HEMPSTEAD TOWN, NY — The Town of Hempstead is bringing drive-in movies back — again.

Given the popularity of the resurgance of drive-in movies over the summer, the town will be hosting more films this month to give families something to do while children are home from school during winter break. The week of films will run from Feb. 12 through 21 at Town Park Point Lookout.

“The Town of Hempstead was among the first municipalities to put together safe and socially distanced drive-in movies and concerts during the summer, fall and now deep into the winter in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Town Supervisor Don Clavin. “We are thrilled to continue our efforts with the Winter Break Drive-In Movie Series, and invite residents to come on down to Point Lookout and enjoy a film from the comfort and safety of their vehicles.”
